The method
THE SELF-PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE is a journey into your deeper self through the expression of emotions, the exploration of your relationships and your place in the world. It is structured in three parts, with several self-portrait exercises in each part:
MYSELF: self-portraits exploring your emotions, competences, potential identities, physical body and roots (family album).

MYSELF AND THE OTHERS: one-to-one relationship self-portraits with your family members, lover, friends, work colleagues.

MYSELF AND THE WORLD: self-portraits expressing relationship with your own groups, with unknown people, with your community or a foreign one.

Technique should be simple and unpretentious. If you don't have any photographic skills, try anyway, even with a compact digital camera or a mobile phone. Creative expression can happen in any case. If all your attention is directed to the inner experience, you will always be successful, because the photographs will express your humanity.
We use precise criteria for the choice of the works of art, which is an essential part of the workshop. Looking at your self-portraits and choosing them is a profound experience which needs time, thought and an open mind.
The self-portrait project is a 'mother project' which can give birth to new projects. It's a source of creativity: whenever the artist is going through moments of emptiness, he can turn into himself, re-discovering new aspects of himself, finding a new creative identity which will create a whole new series of artistic projects.
